Responsibilities include responding to equipment malfunction, physical damage and/or fire, vandalism and/or threats to safeguard life and property, implementing lock out/tag out procedures, completing reports accurately, acquiring training to maintain qualifications, ordering and managing materials and inventory, working with personnel on spare parts recommendations, assisting in planning work and budgeting, reviewing and interpreting drawings and as-builts, working safely and participating in safety programs, maintaining cooperative work relationships, projecting a professional company image, and complying with company policies and external regulatory bodies such as PHMSA and EPA. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimal directly relevant training and experience, a valid Driver’s License, willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required, ability to perform heavy physical exertion in extreme weather conditions, and residing or willingness to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location. Physical requirements include balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying up to 25 pounds, grasping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual and hearing requirements. Mental requirements include ability to understand, remember and apply instructions, solve problems, prioritize work, make decisions with moderate impact, complete routine forms and reports, and communicate effectively via telephone.
