Location: Farmingdale, NY | Full-Time | Hybrid Flexibility

Ideal for Paralegals, Legal Assistants, or JDs

Ready to take your legal skills beyond the law firm?

This is your opportunity to transition into a high-impact, client-facing role where your legal knowledge helps people and businesses recover from serious property losses. We’re partnering with a growing insurance consulting firm that advocates for policyholders in complex property damage, business interruption, and builder’s risk claims. They’re looking for a Claims Adjuster with a legal background to manage claims, analyze documentation, and help secure fair outcomes for clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage residential and commercial property claims from intake through resolution
  • Review and interpret insurance policies, contracts, and legal documentation
  • Collect and organize supporting evidence for claims (invoices, timelines, communications)
  • Work closely with attorneys, adjusters, building consultants, and clients
  • Assist in preparing professional reports that outline losses and claim recommendations
  • Help negotiate fair settlements based on policy interpretation and supporting facts

Who This Role Is Perfect For

  • Paralegals or Legal Assistants looking to move into investigative, client-driven work
  • JDs or former litigators seeking a career outside the traditional legal path
  • Detail-oriented professionals with experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, or real estate law
  • Strong communicators who enjoy analyzing documents, structuring cases, and working with a team

Why You’ll Love This Role

Make a meaningful impact—help families and businesses recover after major losses

Apply legal expertise in a hands-on, non-litigation environment

Join a collaborative, growing team

Enjoy full benefits: Medical, PTO, holidays

Competitive salary, based on experience

Interested?

Let’s talk. Whether you’re ready to transition out of the legal world or want to apply your paralegal expertise in a more proactive role—this could be a great fit.
